Transwall recently completed a beautiful installation featuring our SILENCE line at the offices of Saul Ewing, in Wilmington, DE. Transwall’s SILENCE glass walls are the industry’s leader in acoustically superior glass wall systems. This product line was selected for Saul Ewing due to its superior sound characteristics and 46 STC rating.
We installed approximately 120 feet of our double-glazed SILENCE product including double-glazed doors with 96-inch locking ladder pulls in the law firm’s 1201 Market St. location. Located on the 23rd floor of the building, Saul Ewing is situated at the top of Delaware’s second tallest building.
We incorporated innovative technology with switchable glass from Glass Apps. This feature offers the ability to turn glass walls from clear to opaque via a simple electronic switch. The benefits of switchable glass are in the user’s ability to manipulate light, privacy, and heat; serving dual-purpose for the firm’s boardroom. Switchable glass was an ideal component for Saul Ewing’s teamwork driven culture.
The project was a success and working conjunction with the architect on the project, Elizabeth Green from KSS Architects in Philadelphia, we installed switchable glass as specified in the design. Also, we worked closely with the general contractor, John Winnington from Delaware Construction Services, who managed the complicated construction details and job site.
