Field Service Technician

Exciting opportunity to be a part of the Project Management/Installation team of a well established and growing company in the architectural wall industry. The Field Service Technician provides assistance during the critical stages of product installation, assesses the field conditions and trouble shoots as needed during the installation process. The Field Service Technician will also assist with obtaining accurate field measurements using tools for product installation. The ideal candidate has experience in the construction trades and a background in furniture or architectural walls product installation. Knowledge of construction process a plus. Must have ability to read and understand architectural drawings and construction documents. Based in West Chester, PA with travel to job sites and some overnight travel required. Occasional lifting up to 75# required.

Architectural CADD Designer

Exciting opportunity for an experienced Architectural CAD Designer to join an established and growing organization.

Manufacturer of movable wall systems in West Chester, PA has an immediate opening for an Architectural CADD Designer. Responsibilities include creating detailed specific drawing packages and providing product takeoff of BOM lists. Preparing lists of deviations between contract documents and shop drawings. This position supports and assists the project team. Requires 2-3 years architectural/construction/drafting experience, advanced AutoCAD, proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook, strong math skills, able to read and interpret architectural plans and specifications. Must be familiar with structural and environment building systems, ie ceilings, lighting, sprinklers and HVAC.

Estimator (Commercial Interiors)

Transwall Office Systems, Inc. has an immediate opening for an Estimator with experience in the commercial interior sector.

The Estimator reviews construction drawings and specs and generates accurate and timely estimates. Prepares quotes to accompany proposal drawings. Supports project management including communicating to the team scope and product required for awarded projects.

Qualified candidates have experience in estimating commercial interior projects. Applicants must have experience in reading and understanding construction documents including architectural plans and specifications. Qualified candidates must have strong computer capabilities with MS Office products and other estimating or proposal technology tools. Knowledge of building systems ie, ceilings, lighting, sprinklers, HVAC and construction process is desired.

  • A.S. Degree or comparable work experience required.
  • Current AutoCAD skill or knowledge of Planswift a plus.

Sheet Metal Mechanic

Transwall is a proud US manufacturer based in West Chester, PA. We craft metal and glass office walls that are installed throughout the United States. We are looking for qualified candidates who will be responsible for setting up sheet metal equipment and performing machining operations in support of production that require close tolerances. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Set up and operate CNC Punch Press and Shear and Wiedemann
  • Program CNC machines in the course of making parts
  • Set up machines for metal shop personnel
  • Operate lift truck
  • Read and interpret blue prints, sketches or product specifications to determine sequence and methods of fabricating, assembling and installing sheet metal products
  • Select gauge and type of sheet metal such as galvanized iron, copper, steel, or aluminum according to product specifications
  • Lay out and mark dimensions and reference lines on material to develop and trace patterns of product or parts, or uses templates
  • Perform quality checks by inspecting assemblies and installation for conformance to specifications
  • Identify and report any defects in material
  • Perform routine maintenance of equipment
  • Make recommendations for process improvements
  • Provide occasional back up supervision for Metal Shop Supervisor
  • All other duties as assigned

Desired Qualifications

  • 10+ years experience on press brake, and shear
  • Working knowledge of Computer Numeric Controls 

Requirements:

  • Familiarity with die set requirements
  • Ability to read and interpret basic blue prints and sketches
  • Must be able to accurately measure materials and use calipers
  • Must be able to read, write and comprehend basic instructions
  • Must be able to accurately perform basic math calculations using whole numbers, fractions and decimals
  • Ability to operate moving machinery
  • Able to walk and stand for prolonged periods of time
  • Able to lift up to 50# frequently
  • Able to flex hours and work overtime including Saturday as needed

Truck Driver

The Truck Driver safely loads and transports finished product to the customer to meet the on-time delivery schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares truck for loading and shipping product
  • Completes documentation by counting, verifying and recording parts loaded
  • Comply with road safety practices and standards
  • Accurately completes drivers’ logs and other required paperwork
  • Perform other assigned duties in production

Requirements

  • 2+ years truck driving experience in urban areas
  • Must be able to make deliveries of product in van, box truck or other company vehicle to NYC and other urban areas
  • Must be available to work overtime on short notice including working Fridays, weekends and hours outside of regularly
  • scheduled workday.
  • Able to lift up to 50# frequently
  • Prolonged sitting, walking and standing
  • Able to use navigation (GPS) systems

Qualifications

  • 2+ years truck driving experience
  • Clean driving record
  • Current valid driver’s license
  • Stable work record
